Abstract

This article explores how information technology (IT) has influenced society, especially in the realm of linguistics. In today’s digital era, IT is integrated into nearly all scientific disciplines, including linguistics. The field of computational linguistics has emerged as a result, facilitating the collection, organization, and analysis of language data—once a challenging task. Tools like language corpora now make it easier to study vocabulary, dialects, and grammatical features. These corpora begin with dictionary databases that support efficient word meaning searches across multiple sources.
